Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm

Address:951 Concession Road 8 South, Pakenham, K0A 2X0
Hours: Mon - Sun 9am - 5pm Open November 12 - December 24
Christmas Tree Farm and Shop. Cut your own White Spruce, Scotch Pine, Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir and Blue Spruce.

Today, the farm is operated by Grant, Pam, Todd, Neil, Adam and Graham Martin. Pam (Deugo) was raised in Cedar Hill as the youngest child of George and Shirley Deugo of Fulton’s Pancake House. Pam and Grant met at the University of Guelph and married in 1999. They were organic dairy farmers in mid western Ontario until 2016 when they purchased the Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm.

Our farm was settled in the 1820s by William Forsythe, who came to Cedar Hill from Ireland. The farm was originally a lumbering and saw mill operation. It has in turn been a dairy, beef, and sheep farm.

The fruit crops were started in 1978 by Paul and Heather (Forsythe) Ralph and the Christmas Trees were added in 1988. In August 2011, Paul and Ria Ralph retired from the strawberry, raspberry, and corn business and focused on growing beautiful Christmas trees. Ria and Paul built a new shop for the Christmas tree operation in 2011. They have now retired from farming and have settled into life in Almonte.

Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm is a wonderful place to get into the old-fashioned Christmas spirit. Tractor and wagon rides will take you to the field to cut a beautiful fresh tree – we provide saws to do the job.

When you return to our shop, we will shake your tree and then, if you wish, wrap it for the trip home. Then it is time to take pictures and enjoy our sliding hill, straw playstructure, sit by the bonfire and sip hot chocolate.

We have been busy cooking and baking for hungry folks who come to our farm to cut a beautiful Christmas tree or maybe just to relax. We offer meat or vegetarian chilli, bacon on a bun, hot dogs and delicious soups. To satisfy those with a sweet tooth, we have mouth watering buttertarts, decadent brownies, assorted cookies as well as cupcakes and pies. We have hot chocolate to enjoy either inside by the fireplace or out at our campfires. What a pleasant way to slow down the Christmas rush and just enjoy the moment.
Vegetarian and gluten free options always available.
